The GREAT things about Black Watch Wrestling club: We are open FOUR days a week. We charge ONLY $2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and only $5 on Mondays and Wednesdays. You DON'T have to sign a contract, so you can come to as many or as few practices as you choose. We have THE best coaches around. We have several coaches that rotate. Our coaches at Black Watch believe it is best for a wrestler to receive great instruction from more than just one coach. We don't want wrestlers to only learn the technique of one coach, we want several, that way when you get on the mat you are BETTER prepared for whatever technique the other guy is using. We have alot of great coaches that give their time. Coach Smithfoot (Indian Creek coach, former head coach of Eastside High) Coach Blakeman (head coach Eastside High), The D'Carlo brothers (both wrestle in college) and their dad who helped train them. The Wimpy brothers, (both are assistant wrestling coaches in our school district), Coach D.C. ( wrestled in High School), We also have ALOT of coaches from all the local area schools that drop in from time to time and get out on the mat to help the boys. (and girls, yes we have a few) This is an ALL area wrestling club, we have boys from Newton, Alchovy, Eastside, Rockdale, Cousins, and Indian creek just to name a few. We want this to be a place for ALL the area wrestlers to come train. It is close, you dont have to waste your $4 a gallon gas to drive somewhere out of town. We have added and will continue to add weight equipment, and a sauna. You CAN"T beat the price. COME CHECK US OUT !!!!!
We are now open Monday - Thursday. 6:00 - 8:00 We have a new weight machine, and we will soon be adding more. We also plan to install a sauna.
We are having dances on the third Friday of each month. The dance for this month is Friday the 13th (no we didn't plan that) This is NOT your typical school dance. We have DJ Smithfoot on the tables, and he knows how to mix it up. He has awesome lights, a smoke machine, dry ice, all the works !!! Im sure alot of you think of us as old, but we have ALL the latest music. We have pizza, drinks, chips, candy, pickles and juice, and all those neat glow-in-the dark items for sale. The hours are from 8:00 p.m. until Midnight. The cost is $10 We figured you guys and your parents would rather help us raise money to keep the doors open by having fun at a dance once a month, then bringing home those dreaded magazines and having to ask family to buy things.
We are having 2 summer camps. The cost is only $75 or $100 for a family. They are both 5 days long, and are from 1:00 - 5:00. The first one starts June 15th through 20th, and the second one is July 21st-25th. You will recieve a Black Watch shirt, and the best wrestling instruction anyone from this area has to offer. This camp is for the beginner that needs to learn the basics, and for the exsperienced that wants to take the title. Email us and we will sign you up, or grab the app. at practice. Our spaces are limited to 30 at each camp, and they are filling up FAST !!! You need to sign up and get a jump on the competition.
